Welcome to a new and exciting educational opportunity for students in the Western North Carolina area.  THRIVE Center for Accelerated Learning is a unique center for students who have learning challenges, especially Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyscalculia, Executive Functioning, and other academic areas.  Conveniently located off Exit 40 (Airport Road) on I-26, THRIVE is positioned to serve Buncombe, Henderson, and Transylvania County with ease.

At THRIVE students have the opportunity to attend specialized Orton Gillingham instruction in all areas of literacy and multisensory math instruction for students from first grade-college.  Classes in other core classes such as science and social studies, as well as enrichment classes such as art and music are offered for homeschool and students who attend other schools during the school day and after school.

THRIVE's instructors are all educators who have been trained in the Orton Gillingham approach and/or multisensory math strategies and are well equipped to offer students with learning challenges a successful educational program. THRIVE is under the direction of Cheryl Eller, a Fellow in the Academy of Orton Gillingham Educators and Practitioners, who has served as a teacher, administrator, and teacher trainer in several schools over her 25+ year career, including the prestigious Key School at Carolina Day in Asheville, NC.  Very low teacher-student ratio allows individualized and prescriptive instructional programs which will allow students not only to succeed, but to THRIVE.

Contact the office at 828-348-0010 or email www.thrivecalwnc@gmail.com for more information.  Look for our website to go live in August.  In the meantime, follow along on my blog, for more information.

Expect to Succeed, Expect to THRIVE
